You can terminate your Premium package at any time in the admin area. The termination takes effect at the end of the current contract period; until then, the package stays active. If you cannot log in, or if you only want to terminate a single domain, you can also terminate in writing with our PDF form.
Terminate in the admin area
- Log in at admin.hpage.com. If you have several websites, switch to the website whose package you want to terminate.
- Open My Package → My Package in the left sidebar.
- Click Package Termination. The page shows until when your Premium package stays active.
- Enter your Current password. If you like, tell us your Termination Reason; your feedback helps us improve hPage.
- If domains are connected to the website, the section Termination of Domains appears. Domains such as .com or .eu are deleted at the end of the period. For .de domains, choose the Termination Type of .de Domains:
- Expire: the .de domain stays yours and goes back to the registry DENIC, from where you can still move it to another provider.
- Delete: the domain is deleted and anyone can register it afterwards.
- Click Terminate Premium Package and confirm the question.
You then see the message that we have received your termination. Under My Package → My Package the Termination Date is now shown.
Notice period
The notice period is 14 days before the end of the current contract period (6 or 12 months). If you terminate later than that, the package runs for one more period and ends at the end of the following period; the termination page always shows the date that applies. If the first period has not been paid yet, the package simply ends after the first period.
Changed your mind? Revoke the termination
As long as the period is running, you can undo the termination: open My Package → My Package and click Revoke Package Termination. Your Premium package then continues as before, including the automatic renewal.
What happens after the termination
- At the end of the period your website automatically becomes a free website again. Your pages and content stay; ads return and the Premium features stop (Premium templates and addons, e-mail addresses, bigger storage space, and so on).
- All domains connected to the website are terminated as well. If you want to keep a domain, move it to another provider before the period ends. See also what happens when a domain is deleted.
- A paid website cannot be deleted before its period ends. If you want it offline right away, deactivate it under Settings → General (Deactivate my website). Once the website is free again, you can delete it under Settings → Delete Website.
Terminate in writing (PDF form)
Use the written termination if you cannot log in to your account any more, or if you want to terminate only a domain but keep the Premium package. (A single domain can also be terminated in the admin area under My Package → Domains.)
- Download the termination form (the form is in German).
- Fill in your Homepage-ID. This is the ID of your website: you find it on every invoice and under My Package → My Package in the section Website Details (ID).
- Choose what you terminate: the complete paid package including its domains, or only the domains you list. Write the domain names clearly.
- Choose when the termination should take effect (next possible date or a specific date) and what should happen to the listed domains: deleted at the end of the period, or moved to another provider during the period.
- Sign the form and e-mail it to support@hpage.com.
The form must be filled in completely and signed. Our support confirms the termination and the termination date by e-mail. If you have questions, contact our support.
