With a Premium package your website gets its own domain, for example yourname.com or yourname.de, instead of the free address yourname.hpage.com. One domain is included in the package; you can add more at any time.
Who can register a domain?
Domains are available for Premium websites only. Every domain has to be bought and renewed yearly at the registry, which is why they cannot be offered with the Free package. If your website is still free, start with the upgrade to Premium: choosing your domain is part of the order.
Prices per domain and year
The first domain is the included domain. Every further domain is an additional domain and points to the same website.
| Extension | Included domain | Additional domain |
|---|---|---|
| .de | €0 | €15 |
| .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .eu, .name | €5 | €20 |
| .at, .be, .it, .nl, .ws | €10 | €25 |
| .ch, .li, .es, .cc | €15 | €30 |
Some registries have residence rules: .de and .es require an address in that country, .eu and .it an address in Europe. The address of your account is used as the domain owner's address. The current list is also at hpage.com/pricing/domains.
Order a domain
- Open My Package → Domains (admin.hpage.com/app/booking/domains). During a Premium upgrade the same screen appears in the step Select Domain.
- Click Order included domain (free slot in your package) or Order additional domain.
- Type the name without
www.in Your domain name, pick the extension from the list next to it (the price is shown with each extension) and click Check Domain. - If you see This domain is available., click Select this domain and complete the order. If it says This domain is already registered., you can either try another name with Select another domain or, if the domain is yours, transfer it to hPage.
A domain name may contain letters, digits and hyphens, must not start or end with a hyphen and may be at most 60 characters long including the extension.
After the order
Your website is reachable under the new domain usually within a few hours, see How long until my domain works?. Domains are booked for twelve months at a time and renew automatically; the notice period is 14 days before the end of a domain year. With your own domain you can also set up e-mail addresses such as info@yourname.com.
