Several domains for one website

Add further domains to your Premium website, choose the primary domain and understand what an additional domain costs.

One Premium website can have several domains at the same time, for example yourname.de and yourname.com, or a second spelling of your name. All of them lead to the same website; one of them is the primary domain.

Included and additional domains

The first domain of a Premium package is the included domain. Every further one is an additional domain and is billed per year at the price of its extension, see the table in Register your own domain. Under My Package → Domains you can see how many included domains you are using and how many additional domains you have.

Order an additional domain

  1. Open My Package → Domains (admin.hpage.com/app/booking/domains).
  2. Click Order additional domain.
  3. Enter the name, choose the extension and click Check Domain. If it is free, click Select this domain and complete the order. A domain you already own elsewhere can be transferred instead.

The new domain usually works within a few hours. From then on your website is reachable under all of its domains.

Choose the primary domain

The primary domain is the main address of your website; it is marked with a green badge in the domain list. To make another domain the primary one, click Set as primary domain in its row and confirm. Your visitors can keep using every other domain as well.

Manage your domains

The list under My Package → Domains shows for each domain its status, the date it is Accounted Until and its actions: Set as primary domain, Request AuthInfo (for a transfer to another provider) and Terminate Domain. Each domain has its own term and can be terminated separately, at least 14 days before the end of its domain year. The owner details of all domains come from your account; you can update them via Change Contact Information on the same page.
