Manage the menu

Add pages, submenus, headings, separators and external links to your website menu, change the order by drag and drop and remove elements.

The visible menu of your website is managed under Menu in the sidebar. It is independent of the page list: a page appears in the menu only when it has a menu element.

Under Menu → Create Menu Element (open) you choose one of five types:

  • Page Link: links to one of your pages.
  • Submenu: a folder that holds further menu elements, see page categories and submenus.
  • Heading: a text without a link that structures the menu.
  • Separator: a line between menu elements.
  • External Link: a link to another website.

Add a page to the menu

  1. Click Menu → Create Menu Element and select Page Link.
  2. Enter a Name (internal) and a Title (shown in the menu). The title follows the name as long as you do not change it.
  3. Under Place in choose the main menu or a submenu.
  4. Under Subpage select the page.
  5. Optional: Target (where the link opens), Rel Attribute (nofollow for search engines), Visibility (Premium) and the Appearance of the element: Color, Font Size, Bold, Italic, Underlined.
  6. Click Save.

When you create a new page, the option Create menu element in the page form does this for you, see add a page. External links work the same way: enter the full address under External URL, starting with https://.

Change the order

Under Menu → Manage Menu Elements (open) drag an element to its new position and let go; the new order is saved immediately. To sort the elements inside a submenu, click the submenu's name; Back to main folder takes you back.

Move an element into a submenu

Click the folder icon Move Menu Element at the element, choose the submenu and confirm with Move menu element to submenu.

Edit or remove elements

  • Edit Menu Element (pencil icon) opens the form with title, target and appearance.
  • Edit Page at a page link opens the settings of the linked page directly.
  • Delete Menu Element (trash icon) removes the element from the menu. A page link only disappears from the menu; the page itself stays and can be deleted under Pages → Manage Pages if you no longer need it. Deleting a submenu also deletes all elements inside it, so move important ones out first.
