Every website at hPage is made of pages. You create them in the admin area under Pages → Add Page and fill them with the content editor afterwards.
Open the form
- Log in at admin.hpage.com.
- Click Pages → Add Page in the left sidebar, or open Add Page directly.
Fill in the page details
- Name: the internal name that identifies the page in the admin area. Your visitors do not see it.
- Title: the title your visitors see, for example in the browser's title bar or as the headline of the page. As long as you do not change it, it follows the name.
- URL: the address of the page on your website, for example
about-us.html. hPage suggests one from the title; you can change it. - Category: only shown when you have created page categories. Categories organise the page list in the admin area, see page categories and submenus.
- Visibility and Password protection: with Premium you can show a page only to certain visitors (for example members of your member area) or protect it with a password (Set Password).
- Create menu element: tick it to add the page to the visible menu of your website right away. Under Place in menu choose the main menu or a submenu. Without a menu element the page exists, but visitors only reach it through links.
Create the page
- Create Page & Edit Content saves the page and opens the content editor.
- Create Page saves the page without content for now. You can fill it later under Pages → Manage Pages.
You can also click Edit Page Content in the form to write the content first. The editor then offers Create Page & Continue Editing (save and keep working) and Create Page (Finish Editing) (save and return to the page list). How the editor works is explained in edit pages and add content.
What happens next
The new page is listed under Pages → Manage Pages. Show page on website (eye icon) opens it on your website. If you did not create a menu element, add one later under Menu → Create Menu Element, see manage the menu.
