After the login at admin.hpage.com you land on the dashboard. The admin area has three parts: the sidebar on the left for the currently selected website, the header with the website switcher and the account menu, and the content area in the middle.
Home: the dashboard
Home gives you an overview of the selected website:
- The website tile shows a screenshot, the address, the package and the status: "Public" when visitors can open the website, otherwise the reason, for example "Not publicly accessible (E-Mail Confirmation required)".
- Tasks To Do lists open steps such as confirming your e-mail address, choosing a design or moderating new guestbook entries. The tile disappears when nothing is open.
- Statistics shows the latest visitor numbers; Audit Log shows recent changes to the website.
- Announcements, Changelogs and Important Features keep you up to date and offer shortcuts.
The sidebar: your website
Everything in the sidebar belongs to the website that is currently selected.
- Home: the dashboard.
- Visit Website: opens your website as visitors see it.
- Upgrade to Premium: order the Premium package for this website (Free websites only).
- My Package: your package, its termination, and Domains for registering and managing domains.
- Design: Choose Design, Design Settings (title, logo, fonts) and the Design Editor.
- Pages: Manage Pages, Add Page, Add Category, View Page URLs and Deleted Pages.
- Menu: Manage Menu Elements and Create Menu Element.
- Files: File Manager and Upload Files.
- Addons: Blog, Calendar, Contact Form, Galleries, Gimmicks, Guestbook, Intro, Link List, Member Area, Newsletter, Password Protection, Pinboard, Polls, Shoutbox and Sitemap. Some addons are part of the Premium package.
- Visitor Statistics: visits and page views.
- E-Mail: e-mail addresses at your own domain (Premium).
- Settings: General (website title, language, time zone, deactivating the website, 404 page, robots.txt), Header Area (meta tags, favicon, own CSS and HTML), Rename Subdomain, Data Export (Premium), Audit Log, Deactivate Ads (Free) and Delete Website.
You can collapse and expand the sidebar with Show / Hide Menu.
The header
- The website switcher shows the active website. Use Change active website to switch between your websites and Create New Website to add another one. Every website has its own package: see Several websites in one account.
- Search finds a function of the admin by name, so you do not have to look for it in the sidebar.
- The help menu (question mark) offers Help, Contact (the support form) and Server Status.
- Send Feedback sends us your ideas and suggestions.
- Logout ends your session.
Account Options: your account
The menu behind the user icon at the top right applies to the whole account, not to a single website:
- Account: e-mail address, mobile number, contact details and your Support Code for enquiries to the support.
- Interface: language and other settings of the admin interface.
- Dark design: switches the admin to the dark design (included in the paid packages).
- Security: change your password, 2-factor authentication and auto login sessions.
- Invoices: all invoices of your account.
- Account Log: logins and changes to the account.
