Upload files from Dropbox

Copy files from your Dropbox to your website with the Dropbox chooser, without downloading them to your computer first.

If your photos and documents are stored in Dropbox, you can copy them to your website directly. The files stay in your Dropbox; your website receives a copy.

Select files in Dropbox

  1. Open Files → Upload Files in the sidebar.
  2. Click Upload from Dropbox. A Dropbox window opens.
  3. If you are not logged in to Dropbox in this browser, log in there with your Dropbox credentials. You enter them on Dropbox's own page; hPage never sees your Dropbox e-mail address or password.
  4. Select the files you want to copy and confirm. You can select several files at once.

The files appear in the upload list like files from your computer. Repeat the steps if you want to add more, or remove a file again with its trash icon.

Start the upload

Click Upload selected files. hPage fetches the files from Dropbox and stores them on your website. The same rules apply as for any upload: the file type must be supported, each file may be up to 50 MB (images 7 MB), the Target Folder and the image compression setting are used, and a file with an existing name asks you to Rename or Replace.

Afterwards you find the files in the file manager and can insert them into your pages.

The chooser copies individual files, not whole folders, and it only shows what is in your own Dropbox. To upload a file from a Dropbox link that somebody shared with you, save it to your Dropbox or download it to your computer first.
