The design (template) determines how your website looks: the layout, the colours and the header. You can switch to another design at any time. Your pages, texts and images stay as they are.
Open the design overview
- Log in at admin.hpage.com and click Design → Choose Design in the sidebar.
- All designs are shown as cards with a preview picture. The design you are using right now is marked Current Layout.
- Narrow the list with the Keyword Filter: pick a topic such as business, nature or music. Show all templates removes the filter.
- Under Order By you can sort by Popularity or Date of publication. The arrow button next to it reverses the order.
Preview a design
Click Preview on a card. The design opens in a new tab with your own pages and texts, so you can see exactly how your website would look. A click on the card itself shows a large picture of the design together with its keywords.
Apply a design
- Click Use this design on the card or in the large view.
- Confirm the question "Use the design ... for your website?" with Use this design.
- Your website looks different right away. Your pages, texts, images and your design settings (logo, fonts) stay as they are.
- Check your website via Visit Website. If necessary, adjust the logo and the fonts under Design → Design Settings.
Designs marked Premium
Designs with a lock and the word Premium are not included in the Free package. The large view shows "This design is not included in your package. You can use it with Premium." With the Premium package you can use all designs; see Upgrade to Premium.
A design marked Not available is one of our very first designs. Websites that already use it keep it, but it can no longer be chosen. If your current design is one of these, you cannot go back to it after switching. The admin warns you about this before you confirm.
